Who is Barby James?
Barby James, the author of The Adventures of Duke & Dash, is a husband and wife team who have had loving dogs as part of their family ever since they got married.
Barby, (Barb) is the editor and book designer of the two and James, (Jimmy) is the digital artist who has conjured up hundreds of images that have been combined into the ones you see in this book.
All the stories are original. They are a combination of "AI" (artificial intelligence) and our own imagination. We use AI to create the storyline then we modify it to fit our creative approach.
The same goes for the images. We use AI software to develop the base image but then we add AI generated images of Duke, Dash, and the other critters into the scene using Adobe Photoshop. It truly is a remarkable design process that didn’t exist two years ago.
Many of the characteristics of Duke and Dash in the book, are similar to our own Duke and Dash. We love our two pups and we hope you will love them also.
